when i took it for a test drive and hit 9k rpm in 2nd, the owner was crapping himself because he'd not driven it like that. At least, that's what he said, and he certainly had a scared look on his face. Perhaps he was just a good actor, but I don't think so.

striker i don't suppose your S2KI username is a reference to Striker out of Flying High?
as for the 2nd gear issues, until I hit this board I just thought it was my driving (cue RedRover laughing himself silly). it certainly embarrassed the crap out of me the first time it happened- i VTECed in neutral, and it was quite clear i'd missed the change.
in the MY03 though, i've had no such problems- so perhaps my driving isn't so bad after all.

what's flying high? I've had the nick for ages, since the tom clancy op center books started to come out like 10 years ago [that's where it's from].
So this second gear issue is generally fixed under warranty?
