Default How to fix scuff leather seat

I scuff my leather seat while trying to get out. Something in my jacket drag along leather seat. Should I just use black shoe polish to fix it

hmmm...I'm not sure what kind of paint the pro's use when they fix stains/scuffs/damage to leather seats. I've watched a guy fix a stain that was on one of our lounge chairs, and basically what he did was colour match some form of paint and then he used an airbrush to paint over the damage.

Anyone else had more experience?

wil..

I had a pretty bad scratch/scuff on my red leather seats. My trimmer had a guy come to the factory and fix it with glue and colouring. Cost me $168 and looks good as new.

Thanks for advice. My scuff/scratch marks are not that bad but I look for some leather upholstery shop to see if thay can fix it when I am free.

My dad had leather seats that suffered a lot from sun (back of bourke) and the buttons on his hip pockets as he used to swivel in and out with the button scratching the leather. He got it professionally repaired in Sydney at the Merc Dealer where it was "painted", it looked perfect for about 6 months. Then with the constant wear it was back to as bad as ever.

For a scratch it might be OK for longer but the best cure for wear is regular leather reconditioner and a good polish.
