U could get a standard screen and have it lift up through the dash , but thats some amount of work and the dash would have to come out - and actuators would have to be used - someone would need to know what they are doing

Aus .. did you ever get around to putting a PC into the car ?
I pretty much sorted all the software on my PC this weekend and now i have to finalise putting the screen in neatly.
(its sitting in , but its not in snug , so i have to do a bit of filing on the edges to make it fit.

got the iphone running movies into the screen now, but since it won't connect to my car's gps receiver (for some reason maps doesnt connect to a bluetooth gps - those damn retards at apple) i'm up sh*t creek without navigation..

Sorry for the mother of all thread bumps - Anyone able to share a template for the cutting? Or share the details for a commercial company that has done it before in Sydney?
I have the JDM bezel and backing plate and i'm looking at installing the Alpine ILX-007E for Carplay, which is the shallowest Carplay deck on the market. (Or maybe the ILX-107, with wireless Carplay!)
