Hey guys,

RS4will, yes his insurance paid up. But the car was insured at market value, which at the time was less than what the majority were going for on the market. Ah well, you live you learn. Never get insured at market value .

Thanks for the kind words guys. I was just going through some old memories (photos), and thought I'd make a little tribute thread to an old friend. I wonder what happened to her.

I sold mine to a 65 year old guy who lived in a caravan park and bought an S2K. How I wish I'd kept it (and still bought the S2K).

As for the rest of them, sales dropped off heavily around '94 and ended in '98, so most of them have been written off by P platers. Of those that haven't been written off most will have covered 200000+ km and the engine will start to need work so most people don't bother.

We had them in Colombia in the late 80's as the Chevrolet Sprint. There was even a "Sprint Cup" for amateur racers (One of the many championships that Juan Pablo Montoya compited in during his formative years - can't remember how he did).

My best friend from High School would ramble on and on about getting one. He eventually did (as a graduation present from his Dad). I wonder if he still has it. I haven't talked to him for about 8 years...

A quick search on the Tocancipa raceway yields a clip of JPM hooning around in a big bulky Merc

Hi wilch, Thanks for sharing those photos. I used to have a 1992 model Integra. It was a burgundy with the 5 spoke alloy wheels (not the Turbo wheels). I loved it. It was really nice to drive.

Sadly, I sold it before I got my first digital camera so I haven't got any happy-snaps to show.
