Congratulations on the purchase I'm sure the S will leave a smile on your face everytime you take it for a drive. Be sensible and hope to see pics of the ride shortly

Quick question. When driving at about 100km/h do you guys notice alot of wind coming in from the roof gap?

the wind noise you explained at 100km/h is in need of a fix, search "striker replacement" as this will help create a better seal between soft top and the windshield. Another easier fix is to put washers under the strikers to create a tighter latch up fitting, this is cheaper but with a 99 model you possibly be best at replacing the strikers. Also shin-etsu grease to plump up the windshield may help if the wind noise is not too bad.
btw I have a used set of strikers fs, pm me if need help.

I gave the washer fix a try (i think its called the "hafler mod" if you want to search for it. For me it didn't work very well (although it did make an improvement) so I replaced my strikers. You can get them new from "Hardtop Guy" pretty cheap from the US and they are a piece of cake to install.

Hi and welcome,

Since you have a 99 model just wondering if I am still in the running of the oldest S alive to date??? Yeah i guess for our 99 Model better to get the strikers replaced. Hope you are enjoying your new "investment" =)
