Default o/t-World Cup (not the real thing but still interesting)

I'm really getting into this football with the weird round shape!

...OK, there's no Roff, Tune, Gregan or Smith but this is the first time I have really watched soccer?

anyone into this game? who are the favourites?

Favs: Italy and Argentina... watch out for Senegal tho, they're playing really well!!! Also Germany, England, Spain and Brazil (wankers!).

I like the African teams...they actually seem like they are enjoying the game as well!

Anyone doing anything 'World Cup'ish this weekend? Buffy's away on business so I feel like venturing out. Might even go charge the barricades on Norton Street.

m8,

come out with us...not braving Norton Street though. we will be at Paddington Green (Oxford St) from 6.30pm on Saturday night. just a few m8s - good blokes who don't mind a few cleansing ales and some great Thai (food that is).

all welcome...

Yeah, Norton Street should've been fun.

I was there on Monday night for the Italy vs Ecuador game. I was brave enough to stay until about a half an hour before kick off, when it started getting a little too rowdy. (Lots of people in track-suits who didn't look too athletic to me, ya know the ones...)

We wound up just heading back to my place (only about 5 mins away) and thus successfully avoided getting killed.

It was a shame that a few bad apples spoiled it for everyone else.

If you're interested, I'll be setting up a big screen at my place for tonight's game (England vs Argentina) and having a few friends over. PM me if your interested in comming along.
