OT: Honda Oddissey
You guys may not be much into people movers but I'll ask anyway.
The Cashout household is getting a new member mid Feb and we are going through the list of things we need to buy/sell/change/modify to be ready for the arrival of child #2.
Amongst those things people usually think about when having more than 1 kid is a people mover. The Jaz is great but having a second child seat means there is no room at the back for passengers even if the kids are not in the car. Not that we have passengers that often (maybe once a month) but not being able to flip the second rear seat up/down and carring stuff for two kids makes the Jazz look a little cramped.
So I looked at the Oddissey and at $40k (On road) + with a 67 litre tank (yes that is SIXTY SEVEN LITRES) and fuel economy around 10l/100kms it just made my wallet scream in fear (The Jaz has a 40 litre tank and gets 7l/100kms).
The price is not a huge deal as we would be trading in the Jazz and maybe even the Beetle (The smart ain't going nowhere!!) but the less we spend the better.
Any ideas / suggestions for a family car that can take 2 child seats, still have room for a couple of passengers (adults), is reliable and won't cost hundreds a week to run?

The Outback is actually a very good car for your needs. Tring to find something large enough for your needs while remaining frugal in running costs, you may consider going diesel.
