Default Question for AP1 v2 owners

Hi everyone,

I happened to have a glace into a person who lives in my area with a yellow AP1 v2 MY03 vehicle, and I noticed that his soft top demister switch is located in the centre console where I usually see the front headlight washer switch. His front headlight washer switch is relocated in the dash just under cluster and on the right hand side of the steering column. I was just wondering if someone could please provide me a vin number to they're car as I ordered a soft top demister switch and they ordered an AP2 switch which is much larger and sits between the hazard switch and the "roof" button on a AP2 centre console. Even if someone could please help me with a part number so j can have this switch returned and have the correct switch ordered as I have upgraded my roof to a glass window with demister.

I will also go ahead and state i do not wish to go ahead and solve this issue with laying out $$$ for a AP2 centre console.

Any suggestions/help will be helpful

You'll need to relocate the demister switch in your car, as the pre-2002 models (i.e. those with a plastic rear window) never came with a demister for obvious reasons.

Probably only for pre-2002 models. From 2002 with the glass rear window, a demister was included (also located in the center console). Clio, where is your headlight washer button located?

My washer button is in the centre console and I have a dead button next to it which I could mount a demister button like the AP1 v2's. Although I need the button in order to create a wire harness to plug into my soft top rear window

So let me get this straight: You want a 03-04 VIN number so you can order an AP1 demister switch for the center console?

The other option is order the demister switch for the right side of the cluster. I got this and replaced my center console switch panel with a coin slot from the USDM car. It's not like you need headlight washers anyway... until you convert it to a mister for the front mount intercooler.

AusS2000 I want to do the same thing and have that exact switch. Where did you find the connector/wiring pigtail from that connects to the back of it as the centre console plug is different?

TIA
