Red Light Cameras
Regardless of the debate about speed cameras I have no argument with Red Light Cameras.
I was approaching a red light at the intersection of Ernest and Miller St Crows Nest (heading East on Ernest for those that know) and there was a car in the right lane and I pulled up in the left. Just as I pulled up the other car started moving across the intersection, hesitated, and then continued across. The light was still red. I have no idea what was going through his head, but when I caught up with him in traffic later I informed him that that intersection had a red light camera.
There was no flash. Are Red Light cameras still visible light technology or have they been updated to IR?

To the best of my knowledge they are all still visible light in Victoria. However, all new installations are both speed and red light cameras.
The objective is to catch those drivers who speed up to enter the intersection before the light changes to red.
