if you don't have any other factors forcing you to sell than you can just wait around till such a time and then adjust your price accordingly.

a friend of mine recently bought a GPW 01 model stock with 29000km on it from a dealer in perth and shipped it back to syd.
he paid $38k for the car
so if that car was sold privately i think $36k is where it'll be worth
i personally think a 01 yellow with 70km+ would fetch around the 35k-37k mark
a friend of mine sold a 01 silverstone/red with 50,500km on it for 37k a few weeks ago. again the car was in stock form

because my mate got it and it looks so nice and at 38k its not a bad price.
i never looked at s2000s b4 cause i knew they were out of my price range (45k+)
but for silverstones with around the 50km mark and 00 models for around 35k i started looking. so once my beater civic is sold i'll try to pick up a low kms 00 model for 35k

This site is going through a renaissance period, or perhaps the anti-rice is going to appear soon.

wheather you like it or not , with time , early model S2000's will become more affordable for younger people to get their hands on . And more younger owners will log onto here
But thats the direction this site is headed .
yeah but redbook is still not correct
pretty much nearlly every car is underpriced on it
never bring it up if your going to buy a car at a dealer or at a guy who knows of it because thye will laugh at you in your face
