Default Rice cars in new Zealand

I'm in New Zealand at the moment!

Rice cars (I hate this term but it is appropriate) everywhere.

Rice, Rice, Rice!

Still haven't seen a Stook though. the Kiwis obviously have no taste in cars!

While on another note, there is certainly quite alot of variety in performance cars over in NZ. They have what I call, somewhat a very relaxed grey import and import situation compared to Australia. I would love to go over and check out the import scene, bet there are some decent R34s or Evo VIIs and STIs around.

Yong - I've sent you a PM.

I have seen a lot of grey imports since coming here. I've seen a couple of R34s and today, I'm sure I saw a Evo VII. I understand that the grey imports are very well priced here.

There are actually a lot of expensive cars here. MB and BMW obviously do very well. Also seen a couple of Astons. I don't think I've seen so many CL500s and 600s anywhere outside of Hong Kong before. They seem to be everywhere.

I've also seen the most ridiculous ricey cars I have seen anywhere. There is one Civic I'm sure I've seen twice. God forbid there is more than one of them. It is a Civic sedan and it has got stickers everywhere. They guy is not that selective. It has Mugen, Ralliart, Recaro and others I don't recognise all over it. It also has spoilers all over the damned thing.

Auckland is the land of the Asian student. There are so many of them all over the streets. Must be a big thing for the economy here.

Not many S's in Kiwiland. And they STILL stand out when you see them.
Yong - we still haven't met! Have met another (recent) owner here on the North Shore keen to form a very small owners group. You interested? I know of two other owners (both Silverstone ladies). One I know well; the other not so.
NZ is full of Jap imports; a reflection of the economy really. Bernie? Are you here in NZ, Akl?
Cheers!
