SE QLD Drive and Lunch
Its has been a long while since we got together and I have a free day so thinking that it would be great to have a meet and drive up & over Mt Tamborine..
WHEN: 9am Sunday 4th September '11, meet up at YATALA PIES, Yatala
LUNCH: Either at O'Reily's Winery (planning for a photo shoot here), Canungra Pie
shop, or further at O'Reily's mountain top restaurant.

Confirmed with the O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Winery, that we can stop and park on the grassy area for a photo shoot.
The parking area will totally depend on the day, in regards to space availability as they have a few bookings for Father's Day lunches. We can have lunch there or if everyone's still pumped we can venture on up the mountain or even return to Canungra Pie shop/ Hotel.
Fathers Day traffic will be out and about, but this is not usual as per any other Sunday on the Gold Coast Hinterland scenic drive rim.

Itinery:
1) 9.00am Meet & Greet @ Yatala Pies, for a 9.30am departure up Mt. Tambourine.
2) Pit stop at the "hang gliders" park.
3) depart to head down the mountain via the "goat track", regrouping at the
"stoplight" before descending to Canungra village.
4) At the village turn LEFT towards the Canungra Hotel and further on
approximately 5-10 minutes to the O'Reilly's Winery, Canungra Valley. (RHS)

back in 2005 a group of us went to the O'Reily's Winery (on the RHS, just past the Canungra Pub on the way up the mountain to O'Reily's.), they let us park and take pics, I'll be phoning them to recheck that we can stop there for a photos session and possibly refreshments. checkout the NFR and Spa???

yep I've got a free calender on that day so I'm in.
Mind a few tag alongs?? I'll brief them on staying at the back and away from photo's this time around as well
