Default Severe weather warning

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would post a quick alert to warn everyone in Melbourne and Sydney that there is a severe weather warning being issued by the BOM (Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology)

Please avoid driving your cars as much as possible as flash flooding is indefinete to avoid possible damage to your S

below is a statement from the (BOM)

TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - MELBOURNE AREA for DESTRUCTIVE WIND, FLASH FLOODING and LARGE HAILSTONES

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:55 pm, a very dangerous thunderstorm was detected on weather. This thunderstorm is moving towards the east to southeast. Very dangerous thunderstorms are forecast to affect Mordialloc, the area east of Lara and the area south of Werribee by 6:25 pm and Cranbourne, Frankston and Pakenham by 6:55 pm.

Other severe thunderstorms were located near the area north of Meredith. They are forecast to affect Brisbane Ranges, Lara and Werribee by 6:25 pm and Hoppers Crossing, Portarlington and waters off Portarlington by 6:55 pm.

Destructive winds, very heavy rainfall, flash flooding and large hailstones are likely.

Tree damage and flashflooding has been reported near Skipton, golf ball size hail south of Ballarat

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* secure any loose objects in the vicinity of your home.
* keep away from creeks and drains.
* do not drive vehicles through flooded areas.
* stay indoors if possible.
* Avoid using the phone during the storm.
* if you are outside, avoid sheltering under trees
* listen to the radio for storm updates
* switch off your computer and electrical appliances

The next warning is due to be issued by 7:00 pm.

Please guys be safe and put your cats inside and your S (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANTANCE) lol

I just went for a drive in my area in a family friends car and if I was driving my S i would of drowned it from how flooded it is

good to ear your safe

Good to hear everyone is safe I'm in Melbourne but didn't pack my S so she's sitting in the garage all safe.
