Default Strut Tower Brace

Just got one of these from Muz. Finally . How the question is... can I fit it or should I go and get the local wheel alignment people to do it for me?

Just bolt the sucker on. It's a 2 minute job.

Cool. Since I own a torque wrench, anyone know what the torque for the strut tower top bolts is supposed to be? I always hate that "reasonable force" thing...

33 ftlbnewtonwrenchkilos.

Just slap it on and tighten it up. There are things that need exacting tolerances and then there are strut tower braces.

Do these braces void your car insurance. I asked around about these 'mild modifications', and the few companies I spoke with (Vero, and NRMA) said that the car would not be covered in the event of an accident.

Fact or Fiction?

I think some insurance companies will be looking at modifications that increase power by a certain percentage. I told AAMI about my braces and they simply increased the amount I was insured for to take into account the value of the extras. Perhaps try shopping around for insurance.
