Default Throttle cable

Has anyone actually tightened up their own throttle cable to make the throttle more responsive?

I've read that it is one of the better DIY cheapo mods that you can do....

Be careful. the throttle cable is braided steel so it expands and contracts with heat. Needs some slack when warm.

I don't think the cable comes with much slack anyway from the factory. You need at least a couple of mm of play in it so don't overtension it.

i thought braided lines dont expand/contract? I thought that was the reason why part of brake upgrades are to go braided stainless steel lines.

I'm defeinately no materials expert to defy it so ill just absorb and learn it.
