Default Wakefield drive day 5th Feb

The Sports Car club of Australia is having a drive day at Wakefield on the 5th Feb. This club caters for clubman cars but we also have sessions for regular cars on the drive days. The day will have experienced race drivers available if you want any driving tips. The program has sessions for total novices, and experienced drivers.

There are a limited number of spaces but I should be able to fit a few S2K's in. PM me if you are interested. You will need a fire extinguisher, helment and battery triangle.

I should have the F20C PRB clubman there sporting a new set of number plates.

The day is $140 a car for one driver, or $180 for two drivers sharing one car ($90 each). You also need a Wakefield track licence $35 which lasts a year.

A battery triangle is simply a piece of blue sticker in the shape of a triangle that you stick on the outside of your car where the battery is. If your car has an electrical haemorrage some crazy bugger is meant to use a tyre lever to pull off a battery terminal.

The fire extinguisher is used to break the windscreen if you roll the car and can't open the doors.

I really want to go. It would be cheaper than going to the EC drive day on Jan 25th... just have to get off my ass and buy the extinguisher.... (which I been lazy about for more than 1 year :-) )

If you come down get a Wakefield licence and I'll take you for a ride in a clubman. Should give you enough jollies to keep you going for a few days.

If you hang around the grid and ask people if you can go out in the passenger seat you can spend all day having rides.

I should have the F20C clubman there. It may even have plates by then.
