MattG, What slick means here is that it is potentially dangerous to have different tyres on the front to what is on the rear. These situations sometimes occur because a dealer wants to sell a used S2000 and so they put on the cheapest tyres they can find just to sell it. If, in your case, they've put the cheapies on the rear only it might be wisest to junk the cheapies (worn or not worn) and put some good tyres on - preferably all-round.

The reason for this is that the S2000 can, under certain conditions, be prone to snap oversteer. Lesser quality tyres on the rear would inflame this tendency.

Now, the question is what tyres? Once again, there is a mountain of information on this forum. Just start experimenting with the "search" function and you'll find lots of posts about tyres - it's been our most popular topic.

If you want to get some discussion going in this thread about your particular situation you could get it started by telling us about where & when you got your S2000, how many Kms its done, what tyres are on it now and what sort of condition they're in.
