Has the shape really changed since 1960something?
lol. I was refering more to what's in the inside. The new ones have even more power, and aresupposed to be even quicker.
Any newbies going?
Usualy 1/3 of the people there are 'newbies'. I doubt that this year will be much different.

I work down the road from the Porsche dealership and we constantly see the latest German buzzboxes. GT3 Cup, GT3 RS, latest Turbo. Hell we even saw a grey Lambo LP640 (?) the monoexhaust one the other day.

Are your 350 mates coming? Iggy? Yun (spelling?), Mr twin-turbo?
Yep, there should be a couple of guys with Zeds coming.
Are you planning to be there this year? If so, planning to do some driving as well?

Now will i need an fire extiguisher? and if so does it need to be fastened inside the cabin? Also do i need to sign up or anything like that or is it all taken care when u get there on the day.
CAMS or AASA licence - AASA is cheaper, but CAMS will get you into more events (eg Phillip Island, Sandown), but you must be a full member of a CAMS affiliated car club (HSCCV is).
Fire extinguisher is NOT required for this event, but is usually required for other events. If carried it must be secured to the car. Yes I still have brackets, but wasn't planning on taking any unless asked. I don't have any extinguishers - $30 from Kmart - make sure it has a metal bracket (CAMS requirement)
For more detailed discussion on the above points (and others) refer to the HSCCV website under Track Day Information.
Paperwork can be done on the day, but entries are $50 dearer after the cut off date.
Doing more paperwork on the day slows down the boring stuff for everyone even more. Hint, hint
