On the eve of the British Grand Prix an article about how F1 was blacklisted by the BBC for having a car sponsored by Durex.

Friday Practice 2 times - Lewis reigns supreme as Nico is sidelined. Potential for a McLaren surprise

I too have voted for Hamilton. Home field advantage should be good for a tenth or two. But it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Rosberg over-drive his way to a mistake in qualifications or manage to torpedo Lewis at the start.

Qualifying was a little weird. I didn't quite like how they applied the rules for track limits. I like how Lewis came back out in Q3 to set his fast time without exceeding track limits. Bit puzzled why McLaren kept JB in the pits for so long in Q1. He really should have been circulating out on track ready to set another time. But as it turns out his rear wing came loose and they couldn't fix it in time for him to go back out again.

Max Verstappen was the driver of the race for me with how he defended from Nico and then hounded him after he got passed.
Congrats to Lewis on winning his home Grand Prix. Will be interesting to see how they decide Nico's radio controversy.
I was disappointed that they started the race behind the safety car. It killed all the first lap excitement and also it seemed very unsafe for the cars that were behind. I hope the FIA rethinks their decision to do so at future races. The race cars had more grip than the safety car.
Loved how Fernando came back from the gravel trap and kept going. Wish the McLaren's had finished in the points. It was a decent race. I think it could have been better had they started it without that safety car period.

Nico has been penalized and that has moved Max to the second step on the podium.

Reminds me of the "new" qualifying format. Seems like they create rules/regs without completely thinking them through.
Anyway, the latest is that Nicos' penalty is being appealed.
Gotta love Max, I think we'll be watching him win for many years. If Red Bull gets a motor, I think Ricciardo will have to leave or get "Webbered".
Do you think Lewis and Nico will be sharing a glass of wine before dinner tonight?
