You bet he's a hero! What a will to live and what a will to come back. It takes a real hero to get such an up-beat attitude in the face of what happened to him. I can honestly say he was on my mind when I laid in a hospital following a serious wreck. His book, My Greatest Victory, is inspirational about how he faced the situation.

Wow...that's an inspiring read. I hope he's truly competitive despite having lost both legs. He's got some balls to get back on this horse.

He is a hero in my book and always will be. If anyone remebers Zanardi is the original "donut master"

He was the the first to do "donuts" after a win ,just a Gurney was the first to spray champaign on the podium
