Why does the track car have a full interior?

For the same reason my S2000 track car has a full interior. Just because I run my cars on the track does not mean I'm ripping the shit out of them. I still like them legal for the street and enjoyable there. Plus, it's a Honda not a Mazda...

 

Gotcha, was under the impression you towed the CRX to the track. Hey, ripping shit out is fun! I'm ripping out the stuff in front and chipping the sound-deadening tar out this weekend. 4-pt rollbar gets welded in in May.

I don't have the helmet clearance with an 8-pt on the stock seat and the sunroof mechanism in place so when I get the 8-pt, I also have to get seats bolted into the floor, remove the sunroof mechanism and weld a plate into place...too much money right now.

 

Then why did you buy it? I thought it was for a purpose built track car?

 

I got it to build it into a complete track car over a year or two.

 

I'd love to build a track car. Better yet, I'd love to just buy one of those Formula Fords.
