I think the title of the thread sums it up as I'm not clear on how their "jobs" are different.

I thought that MM was president of FIA which is the sanctioning body that holds F1 to certain standards. BE is BE is the owner(not completely sure) of F1 much like that one family owns Nascar. Not together if this was a rhetorical question or not, but thats an answer
