Another Kimi win, more trouble at Renault with tire wear. Can Renault bounce back, or will the rest of the season be a silver wash? I missed this race on TV last year because (ha ha) I was there at the track! David Coultard's engine blew up right in front of me.

Another possible Kimi win, and about time, it took McLaren virtually all of last year to get this new car figured out, and wow, do they have irt figured out now.

I believe the tire wear issue at Renault is not a real issue. The compound choice for Monaco was too soft given the amount everyone seems to slide around there. Renault at this point is still very strong. The Renault platform has always been very kind to tires.

Ferrari and Bridgestone, how sad... I wonder at what point things have to get before Ferrari walks away from their contractual agreements with Bridgestone? A team like Ferrari will not sit back and let a supplier control their destiny.

BAR will be back, that I'm sure will be good for a laugh or two.

New qualifying rules should be in play. some teams are concerned the new format will hurt them, others favor it. Should be interesting to see how it all works out.

Damn...why doesn't Speed put the replays on Sunday night like they did last season?? Is it really tha necessary for yet another re-run of Nascar Nation or some other such drivel? Looks like I need to invest in a Tivo if I want to do anything on Sunday morning besides sit my ass in front of my tube while the sun is shining.

I wondered that too. Apparently they think that the F1 races from 10 years ago will be a better draw in prime time than the F1 races from this year.

They might be right, too.

I always make sure to record the live event (or first run) in the event I fail to wake up, because that one is less liekly to be interrupted or pre-empted by NASCRAP.

Normally I'd wake up and watch it but I have a gig I'm working this weekend that pre-empts F1. The nerve of those ers. I'm going to send them the bill for Tivo.

The fact is that watching "Junior" and Waltrip and the other good ol' boys play poker is obviously more entertaining to "race" fans than F1. I mean, who wants to see a car turn right?

I miss the old "Speedvision".

I think you will be suprised. They did extremely well in testing over the last few weeks. I would be willing to bet that they just take the 10 grid spot penalty and run fresh engines then try to work their way through the field.

Ah yes, I forgot about Waltrip's crashcar poker extravaganza. I can't believe anyone watches that crap.
