Yup, the wet races should be quite exciting...and quite expensive.

Although I don't think all the incidents in the race were due to lack of traction control, some were and I do agree that it's going to be an expensive season....

Lack of traction control saves money just like a single sets of tires for a race saved money....both were imo.

I'll be honest.
I love that have gone away from traction control.
My next hope is they boost displacement.power giving them more horsepower and then make the tires skinnier.

I think the ability to get the power to the ground without having the rear end break loose is half of performance driving.
It's the same as controlling the brakes and holding them right at the edge of lockup without flat spotting the tires.

don't get me wrong, out on the open road on a daily basis with all of it's unpredictable little surprises, I love these features. they are a lifesaver.

open the open road however we are not 'proving' our driving skills but getting from point A to point B.

^ I agree with everything you say! I just don't like it being sold as a "money saving" rule.

f1 one is about technology evolving and the newest best technology. the engine freeze is taking all those advancements away. and the mclaren ecu was a dumb idea as well.

^ i agree with u, but i also think that these drivers r best of the best, so i want to see a noticeable difference of skill between drivers. like u said engine freeze and McLaren ecu were stupid, but no tc was awesome

Max Mosley needs to be corn holed by a zebra.

Racing is expensive always will be. Want cheap go play a stick and ball sport.

Now next year they want a 50% reduction in down force.

Once again Max needs to be corn holed by a zebra.

F1 should always be latest and greatest and faster, none of you could drive a F1 car as well even with drivers aids. If it helps a driver set a quicker lap ,great. Removing them and going back in time sucks. What's next, going back to slower manual gear changes? Even Indy cars or whatever that spec series is called now is using flappy paddles.

With all the carnage I thought I was watching Champ/ IRL drivers. I guess I was with that Frenchman transplant on RB.

F'en Max die already.

do you want a race or a parade that goes really fast?

see comments above.
I don't say any of that to save money or to slow the cars down.
i want to see the best driver distinguish himself.

seemed to work pretty well today.
this may be the best season 'of racing' in the last 10.

I completely agree with what you say. Technology in sports is fun only till a certain point after that it starts to make the sport boring. Hell too much technology can even make great cars not as much fun. Of late I have found more and more car testers prefer a car just because it is more fun to drive. There are many examples where testers respect a car but don't love it such as GTR, 599 GTB etc.
And yes saying that no TC is a cost saving move is just pure BS.
