Thought this was interesting. Of course many of the non-completed laps where due to accidents rather than reliability, but nevertheless, it doesn't bode well for Honda/Jordan/Bar!

Team Total Laps % Completed
WilliamsF1 436 88.26%
Minardi 369 85.42%
Jaguar 409 82.79%
McLaren 373 75.51%
Ferrari 364 73.68%
Sauber 334 67.61%
Renault 327 66.19%
Toyota 300 60.73%
BAR 289 58.50%
Arrows 224 45.34%
Jordan 218 44.13%

All I can say is:

Good for Minardi! May they earn more points for their durability!

Interesting statistics, I though Ferrari would have been higher.

Well Rubens has had all the unreliability for the Scuderia.....the main guy is at 100% laps completed is he not??

But very interesting and I second the encouragement for KL Minardi!!

I have to collect some points for helping build reliable components. Its nice to see Jaguar at the top end of the list sometimes.

We just need to find that much needed speed.

Matt:

In addition to the fine contributions you are making to Jaguar perhaps the staffing issues on the team should be addressed.

!. Due respect to Eddie Irvine but could his best days be past, especially at his lofty salary?

2. Stability in the management and design office is needed.(Rahal in-Rahal out; Nichols in-Nichols out)

3. Can an effective team be assembled and motivated by Niki Lauda for the long term??

interesting but ask any F1 team manager, Dennis, Todt, Briatore if they find it interesting.. trust me, it won't be interesting to them at all.. we in NA eat this sh1t up, but the Europeans laugh at us.

Back in my healthy days, I had a wonderful opportunity to do something like this and present it to Craig Pollock and then Eddie Jordan.. (Canadian GP 1999) and they both thought what the f**k is this guy talking about.. and then made a crack about the US domestic racing scene which I don't want to get into as it will cause an uproar..

oh well just me F1 venting again !!!

Very measured and reasonable response. I appreciate the professionalism and get your message. Good luck...."making it" in F1 can be a process that exceeds a manufacturer's intestinal fortitude not to mention capacity to spend. Ford have expensive and far-reaching problems at the moment and the type of financial commitment to just be in F1 is not to be minimalized. I hope they find a way to stay until success is found.
