Should be an interesting Wednesday.
The only bright side to this is that it makes it easier for me to study for the Bar.

Formula One teams could boycott the French Grand Prix and future races if they receive severe penalties from the FIA for their part in the US Grand Prix disaster, Minardi boss Paul Stoddart has warned.
The seven teams supplied by Michelin who all failed to start last week's US Grand Prix will all attend a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday at the World Motor Sport Council in Paris. Stoddart has warned that if the FIA hands out 'draconian bans' then they could elect to boycott other races.
"In the worse possible situation of some kind of draconian penalty, would the other teams race?" Stoddart asked. "I think we'd have a meeting and you wouldn't guarantee it."
Stoddart's own team uses Bridgestone tyres.

IMO, Paul Stoddart is just gearing up his own campaign for President of the FIA. Has anyone asked themselves why the leader of the weakest team in F1, on BRIDGESTONE TIRES seems to be the most vocal of the bunch?

When I heard Dave Dispain had Paul Stoddart on his talk show last night I nearly exploded. I'm so sick of Paul and his freegin agenda. I tried to call into Dave's show last night and one of the whole points I was going to make is 'why does Paul care?' He is the principle on the perenial back markers, he is a Bridgestone team, and his cars ran on Sunday. Why do we have to be exposed to his political dance? Lots of rumors indicate Paul wants Max's job and I don't think this whole Michelin issue is the appropriate subject matter for Paul to be strutting his stuff.
Maybe it's a case where Paul actually cares about the sport of F1? Maybe, he's the only one with big enough ball$ to stand up for what he believes? Ahhhhh, maybe not but i'm trying to give him the benefit.
It's going to be very interesting to see what happens. I am anticpating some minor fines and that's it. I think if there are any points taken away from certain teams, you may see a boycott of the French GP. I think it would be totally ridiculous that Renault or Maclaren had points taken away especially since Ferrari got 1-2 in USA.

I suspect the other team principles really care about F1, but they were faced with a safety issue, the FIA was doing nothing to help them so they took the situation into their own hands. Yes the results sucked but I don't think any teams want to say things till after Wednesday - what you say can and will be used against you in a court of law...
Sounds like Mosley still thinks its one big bluff...

A spokeswoman for the French Grand Prix organisers said preparations at Magny-Cours were proceeding as normal while Mosley dismissed Stoddart's comments.
"I'm not concerned if they (the teams) take an antagonistic line," he said at the weekend. "What are they going to do? If they go on strike, they're simply cutting off their nose to spite their face. That won't happen."
