mike, dry sumps can have any # or pickups.
Yes, I meant to imply that when I said "pump system".

The point is, they still scavenge oil from locations in the engine where it has drained to. It is not a closed, pressurized loop the way Penforhire seemed to think it was.

This makes as much sense as arguing about whether the old Enterprise would be able to take the new Enterprise....
Kirk would have kicked Picard's ass in a fist fight for sure!

No, I understood there has to be collection but the dry sump's volume itself is a pressurized reservoir. I still vote for a 360 down every straight.

Oh, and Picard never got as much action with the ladies...

Well yes of course, but that wasn't the question was it? It was Enterprise v Enterprise. I mean Picard was a dancing fruit. Kirk has him owned. Picard musical

Corkscrew is good.

And not true -- can you say Kobayshi Maru?

I'd much rather see a corkscrew.

Or even a half corkscrew, with a long inverted bit, and then another half corkscrew before the braking zone.

And come on now guys. The Star Trek discussion is off topic and completely irrelevent anyway since any Enterprise/Captain combination would be out run by the first Imperial Star Destroyer to come along with a Captain straight out of the academy.
I can't argue with that.

...but that's comparing apples to Deathstars.

It's like Formula One, but requires talent.

Yea right... CRASHCAR is a joke as far as I'm concerned.

What kind of talent are you talking about, the talent to ram into the back of someone, the talent to clip someone in the rear quarter panel and spin them into a wall?

As far as I'm concerned CRASHCAR has virtually nothing in common with F1.

I'm happy it has a fan base, and I'm even happier to not be a part of it.
