Honda makes even more changes...
...in an attempt to get their act together.
JUNE 22, 2007 - The busy boys of Honda
The folk down at Honda have been rather busy in recent weeks and, we hear, will be busier still in the weeks ahead, as they rebuild the technical team at Brackley following the disappointments of the current season. Having started the ball rolling with the recruitment of John Owen from BMW Sauber, the team has now followed up with two new appointments, each a senior aerodynamicist. Most teams have around six or seven senior aerodynamicists, each heading a group that deal with different elements of the car.
The new recruits are France's Francois Martinet, who has been working at Williams for the last two years. Prior to that he was one of Jean-Claude Migeot's aerodynamicists at Fondmetal Technologies in Italy, a company that played an important role in the development of the Renault challenge a few years ago. Martinet was trained at France's celebrated Sup'Aero school in Toulouse.
The second recruit is McLaren engineer Peter Coysh, who has been working as the Woking team's trackside aerodynamic engineer for the last couple of years. He has been with McLaren since 2002 and has a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).

I'll give them credit for trying.
Honda confirm more tech staff members

The Honda Racing team have confirmed they have signed former Williams and BMW employees in an effort to rejoin Formula One's top teams in 2008 after a dismal season so far.
Following the announcement that they had signed Frenchman Loic Bigois, chief designer with the now-defunct Ligier, Prost and Minardi teams, over the weekend, team boss Nick Fry has confirmed the recruitment of two more men from rival teams.
"Prior to Loic being announced we also hired another French guy, Francois Martinet, from Williams and we've hired John Owen from BMW and one of the young McLaren aerodynamicists," Fry told Reuters.
"So it's a concerted effort to improve our skills in that area because aerodynamics these days is 80 percent of the performance and we simply weren't strong enough in that area."
Honda scored their first point of the season in Magny-Cours last Sunday, thanks to Jenson Button finishing in eighth place.
