Hungarian GP Qualifying (Spoiler)
Unacceptable. . . I'm reallyin interested to see what, if anything, McLaren does to reprimand him for his actions. . .
That said, I think Hamilton handled the post race press conference well.

Yes I am with you on this one, Alonso should have his Q3 times deleted just like anyone else found guilty of holding someone up in qualifing. It was so clear that it was deliberate cause the lolipop went up and he sat there for 3-5 seconds.
And yes Hamilton handled it very well and knew exactly what just happened.

Unreal...I was going to start a thread on it too. I can't wait to see what was up with all of that. I'm gonna refrain myself from directing blame solely on Alonso...but that got my blood boiling this morning.
But yes...I was thoroughly impressed with LH's post race interview...I would have at least punched FA by now. We shall see. I can't wait to see a Ron Dennis interview as well. BTW, did you see the way Hamilton was eyeing Alonso while the first question was asked, as if to say "I can't wait to hear this."

Yes but that was in the beginning when the times are slow and don't really matter. Holding people up is a problem only in the closing stages when everyone is trying to do a hot lap.
...they were just burning fuel.

Very mature response from Hamilton ... but I think either Alonso or his crew are trying so hard to regain the WC lead that they'll stop at nothing. If Alonso wins he at worsts ties for the lead and possibly retakes it.
Reminds me of the Schumacher qualifying stop at Monaco last year -- but made worse because they did it to a teammate. Unacceptable and unsportsmanlike.

All I can say is what in the world! Alonso has gone out of his mind since the last GP.
Kimi probably would have gotten slightly better time if Alonso didn't go out right in front of him while kimi was on his hot lap. Looked like kimi had to go to the outside line to pass alonso. Not saying kimi would have gotten pole but definitely quicker.

I have TiVo and I reviewed the delay Alonso held LH behind him in the pits, it was for a total of 9 seconds.
I'm still not sure it was Alonso or his Engineer who held him back. They may have been focusing on where Kimi was on the track to the detriment of Hamilton's Q3 strategy.
Ron Dennis seemed to be lecturing Alonso's Engineer afterwards and tried to get Alonso to talk but he was having none of it.

Lewis Hamilton "It definitely needs a good explanation. I really don't understand why I was held back. I guess you should ask the team, and I definitely will do when I go back and have the debrief. Nothing was said to me on the radio. I was obviously told on the way in Fernando was doing his stop and that I should back off so I didn't have to queue. That's what I did, so I saved time coming round the last corner and into the pits, but for some reason he was just held there.
Your guess is as good as mine as to why he was there. His wheels were on, his blankets were off and yet he was told to wait. I probably lost at least half a minute coming in off the previous lap and then waiting behind Fernando.
I'm not angry. I'm curious as to what's gone on. I find it quite interesting and amusing, so I'm not really mad to be honest. I think the team have been extremely fair, at least ever since Monaco." [UNQUOTE]
