I was not...
KR- “I am sorry for Sutil, who I hit with just a few laps to go,” said Raikkonen after the race. “I lost control of the car under braking coming out of the tunnel and I could do nothing to avoid him. It’s a shame how things went today, as we had the potential to do well.”
Nice to see KR stand up and speak out.

Fair enough. I guess it just sounded like it.
To me this just looked like a classic racing accident, wrong place and wrong time for the both of them. Too bad really.
What does however really bother me, is what team Ferrari did to earn KR the drive through penalty. Comeon, a big team like that should have been able to get the car fitted witht he right tires in time. The weather at that point did not look all too confusing, it was raining, good grief...

Domenicali: Tyres had been fitted for two minutes.

Team boss demands enquiry into drive-thru' penalty.
Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has promised an investigation to determine what happened to provoke the drive-thru' penalty for Kimi Raikkonen that effectively scuppered his Monaco Grand Prix ambitions.
The world champion was punished for having his car worked on beyond the three-minute deadline before the start of the race, and the ensuing penalty dropped him from second place - which he had regained following Lewis Hamilton's brush with the barriers - to fourth on the road. Attempting to close the gap on Massa, Hamilton and Robert Kubica, Raikkonen then slithered off the road at Ste Devote, braking his front wing in the process.

What are they gonna do? What's done is done.
(edit: Hmm, actually I went and looked at the article and I think it is poorly written. Ferrari may well have had the tires on in time, but it seems there was a problem and so they went back and started working on them again in the forbidden period. So while the story sounds like they are complaining because they did nothing wrong, that's not what they are actually saying.)

Sorry I am late to the discussion, Crazy and amazing race at the same time. I think all races should be in the wet. LOL. This race was a lot more entertaining than the typical parade lap that is called Monaco F1.
couple of comments:
1. Whats up with Kimi? - I thought he was the wet track expert. His times were poor thoughout the race.
2. How in hell did Hamilton become so much faster than Massa in the 1/2 half of the race? I realize he had a full tank of gas but near the end he was leading massa by 30+ seconds.
3. Poor Sutil. I felt sorry for the young german. Very impressive driving.
4. Amazing driving by Vettel. Almost as impressive as Sutil's drive.

I'm thinking the deal with Kimi is he needs a little run-off room. I'm thinking of past races where he gets out of shape and brings it back with mad skill. But Monaco in the wet is unforgiving so maybe he had to dial back his natural driving technique. Not like you can get a wheel off near the harbor and not pay big for it.
