Default Just me or was TSN's coverage commerical filled ?

For all you out there, here in Toronto, we enjoy both TSN.ca's coverage of F1 races thru the UK's ITV, as well as SpeedTV's coverage.

So this past weekend, I taped both feeds.

I always use to think TSN's ITV feed was superior, but this season, is it just me or is TSN's ITV coverage grossly filled with commercials ?

I got fed up switching to SpeedTV during commercial, that I just left those blokes on and forgot about TSN's coverage ????

As well, I find the feed from SPEED louder with more background sound giving us the viewer more of a feeling of "being there"

I think it was two years ago when I and hundreds, emailed TSN to return ITV's feed instead of using SPEED TV's feed. At the time, I must admit, SPEED TV"s coverage was sub par. But nowadadys, I never thought I'd say this, but I"m preferred SPEED TV's coverage.. I'm willing to sacrifice those ITV"s quick driver interviews, and slightly more detailed analysis of pit lane stops for SPEEDTV's coverage.

Anyone else ?

I've thought Speed coverage has been better for a couple of years now...but I still watch it on TSN as it has a HD channel that line doubles the feed for a better pic....maybe I should watch TSN and listen to Speed!

As someone who has been exposed to way more SPEED than TSN I have my own point of view. I like TSN very mush because it is different, but I'm not so sure (other than actual picture quality) that it is better than SPEED.

I know you specifically asked abut the number of commercials and to that I cannot reply. You see commercials are not a big bother to me as it gives me time to get up and get another cup of coffee or beer.

The one thing matrix and I did notice is the TSN coverage is more 'live' than SPEED as SPEED seems to have a rather large broadcast delay.

I actually like the announcers on SPEED better, and I'm convinced, the SPEED broadcast delay is intentional. It gives the announcers time to do data searches and they always seem to have more historical references at their fingertips. It just seems SPEED's broadcast has more content.

But like I said, with TSN I

Regarding the commercials - I HATE THEM!

If a sponsor would step up and do like they do for World Cup soccer where they still show the game but reduce the pic size during a "commercial" break, I would make it a point to buy a product from them if I could use it.....

I love having both actually. The race coverage is definitely better on TSN(via ITV) but other than that, i prefer speed. You're right Simon, TSN is horrible with the amount of commercials. It's actually quite frustrating especially when they cut out early fromt he post race press conference!!
