One thing you are all missing here. Alonso is a problem. Regardless of talent, no one wants a trouble maker. I am not condoning McLaren's actions of the past year, but Fernando helped the team battle their demons very little. Now he goes back to Renault and kicks sand in the faces of the guys that are paying him millions!!! Screw Fernando! He is not honorable and certainly not a team player. He will be out of F1 within 2 years, unless he has an epiphany and changes his ways.

BTW, I used to really like the guy.

Someone at Ferrari please call up Marco Andretti and give him a test drive!

That is who I would love to see replace FM, if he must be replaced.
You kidding? Marco has shown nothing in north america, how is ferrari to believe he will perform in the pinnacle of racing?

I have been a huge FA fan, but since last year my opinion of him has been slipping, and now this year it continues to slip. It's too bad, he really is a great driver, but his personality is really rubbing me in the wrong direction.

Honestly, I don't see FA getting a ride at Ferrari. I think KR is going to be there a long time and FA would not be a KR teammate.
I disagree. From what i read, FA never had a problem with a driver being equal to him or being faster than him, it was the fact the LH was give priority over him.

How do you think MS or Senna would feel as World champions to go to a new team only to find out that the team favours a rookie driver(regardless of how good he is)??

I'm not a big supporter of FA but i think he would welcome the opportunity to battle KR in equal machines.

He looked pretty good in Austrialia manhandling the Renault without the benefit of traction control. I don't know if he is will go down in history as one of the greats, but right now he is still immensely talented.

FA can be a cry baby and a talented driver at the same time. no rules saying you have to be nice on and off the track and still be talented. MS did some stuff on track that didn't necessarily look *right*, and KR's personna could use more emotions on camera, but that doesn't detract from their driving prowess.

still, not a fan of FA though i do have a Mild Seven hat with his name on it because i used to smoke Mild Sevens...

You are right about Michael. The major difference is that he never slagged his team.

I realize he is not ready yet - that is why I said test drive.

But I am hoping as he develops, he ends up in a Ferrari....

Does anyone remember that Jenson Button deal with Williams, no Honda, no Williams, or...wiat, I'll stay at Honda. I think he realized you can't burn bridges until you find one you like.

I like KR for being the ICEMAN (at work). I'd rather have the quiet driver that focuses on his job rather then the guy that starts pointing fingers when things aren't going his way and is first to jump ship.
