Awesome, let's hope the objection sticks!

One thing for sure, it is very late to make the change, and the FiA is never going to get the required unanimous agreement of FOTA.

Thank Christ...but they say they'll just introduce it in 2010 instead. Perhaps in the meantime, they can reach a common consensus though, along the lines of the initial FOTA proposal.

Well that is great news, well, maybe only middle of the road good news.
I would still have liked to see the FOTA plan with a big point spread between 1st and 2nd, but keeping the old system is better than the plan Bernie pulled out of his smelly arse.

some how I can see bernie keeping this alive until at least halfway through the season and then having it turned over after a driver has 'already won' the championship.
