Default Quote from Sir Frank Williams

''I would be surprised if Jenson did not win a race. He needs one and I think he would deserve it,'' said Sir Frank Williams, who engineered a $30m deal to let Honda keep their man.

The Grove based chief singles out Honda and its 26-year-old driver as a potential 2006 force.

Asked about testing, Williams said: ''The number of laps Honda does each day is frightening. It looks like the Honda we used to know.''

It's easy to get in those extra laps when you carry a *bonus* fuel cell with you!

Even though Frank and Honda had a strange "break-up" which he attributed to the 1986 accident which left him a paraplegic, and Honda heading to McLaren after the '87 season, he's always had nothing but respectful things to say about his dealings with Honda and the championships they won together.

I'll second that.

Plus, the "bonus" fuel tank was never in contention with the FIA, as it already knew about the tank and the fact that some other teams were also running the same setup. The fuel tank itself was not an illegal design. What was in contention was whether BAR was using any fuel as ballast.

It's interesting how people keep referring to the incident as BAR running an extra fuel tank when that was never the issue and wasn't what the FIA were looking into at the time.

Humor is based in exaggeration. Just regular old facts never made anyone laugh.

Sorry bud, no can agree.

FACT: For a great engine company HONDA had lots of engine explosions in 2004.
LAUGH: Although I like HONDA cars very much, their inability to make a reliable F1 engine made me

even though FW has always been a cheap team owner and shrewd businessman, I've always admired how eloquent he addresses the media. In this manner, he's showing his class once again. Kudos to him.

Wasn't it determined that the reason why Sato, not Button, had so many engine problems because of happenstance bad luck. He would leave the pits, needing to get some good airflow across the radiator to cool the engine back down, get stuck in some type of caution or traffic just long enough to cause over heating therefore causing mechanical failure. It seemed to me that most of the problems were with when he came out of the pits and not really the reliability of the motor vs keeping the temp down after pits.
