I was wondering how come he went out wide

 

I couldn't watch the race on Speed, so I had some announcers that I was not familiar with. After Albers crashed (but before TV viewers knew about it) one of them said, "I've just heard the best excuse for crashing a Formula 1 race car"...he goes on to explain why Albers crashed.

Here it is in Albers' own words.
"There is a cable that's stuck to ear plug, and I was just searching to try and get rid of it," he explained, "I missed my braking zone and just went straight ahead."

The announcer said that the ear plug was hurting Albers.

 

yeah...saw that article...is he really saying the racing in F1 is boring? Cynics would use that angle. I can see how when he is the leader and no lappers to lap ahead of him...how it could get a little less challenging! sort of like 50 some qualifying laps!
