Anyone catch the Race of Champions on HDNET this past weekend? It was incredible. They also did a demo run of the championship winning Renault F1 car.

There was some awesome driving, particularly from Travis Pastrana who was the sole rep for the US (Scott Speed had to cancel last minute due to a broken wrist).

Seeing all this action in HD was pretty fantastic. BTW, Coulthard does NOT do well in HD, that guy just looks strangely cartoonish

Jimmy Johnson and Scott Speed both broke their wrists, leaving Travis to fend for USA and himself. Travis did OK for himself - lot was luck on that track, speaking of which...

Track was miserable with standing water which made it hell to drive on - I cannot believe they didnt squeegee or suck the water during intermissions.

Gronholm destroyed a couple of cars in practice.

Poor McRae didnt have a good day. He tries so hard, but age and new talent is quite hard to fend.

Sebastien Loeb was being a whiny baby about the Renaut and how he hated it and I am glad he lost.

They brought out the Renault F1 car - That thing howled on the small track - sounded awesome!

The new Citreon C4 was also brought out. It will be camapaigned in the 2007 WRC or something like that....

The pom-pom girls were hawt and some nice shimmy and shaking...My favorite part!

Oh - It was on HDNet and I enjoyed watching the stuff on hi-def!

PS - Anyone know who she is? They showed her a LOT!
