Raptor, I just talked to someone pit-crewing for a friend in the GT3 Cup race Saturday. He said the same thing. The Audis are eerie-quiet and as a spectator you could hear the brakes working at turn 1.

This week's ALMS was fun to watch. I suppose combining classes like ALMS makes it more exciting, lapping so much traffic, but it also leads to plain stupid moments of getting punted off for no good reason.

And what was up with the Ferrari that climbed up the vette before turn 1? I saw no reason for it. But I was impressed that the vette appeared undamaged!

I flew up to SLC for the races and had a blast. It was my first live experience at ALMS and it won't be my last. I have been to Nascar and Indy but they don't let you anywhere as close to the action as ALMS. You can walk right thru the pits, talk to the crews, and watch them make repairs all with a general admission ticket. I will post up my pix tomorrow in the gallery.

If you pick another race to go to I would recommend the Petite Le Mans at Road Atlanta. Very viewer friendly track. PLM is also a 10hr race so you get alot of race for the money.

Petit is awesome.

The night practice alone is worth the ticket.

You can hear the 2 C6R's when they are on the other side of the track.
