Hmm, there's a 10.796 k/h gap between 1st and sixth - over 24h, that's 260 kilometers! The fastest Audi is 3.654 seconds per lap slower than the slowest Peugeot... Assuming they're reliable, the Peugeots have a significant advantage IMO.

Looks like the Porsche RS Spyders are doing very well.

And the Astons - a bit off the pace perhaps? Bested by a Saleen and a Lambo? Hmm.

Looks like another great Ferrari/Porsche battle shaping up in GT2.

The Zytek of Barazi-Epsilon was really hustling in last night's session. 3m35.344 without getting a hotlap on quali tires.

Good point, I'd forgotton that sandbagging is a tradition for the 24h.

I just looked through the wiki entries for past Le Mans races - the fastest race and qualifying laps were consistently in the low 3:30s. And we're getting into the teens now? Holy smokes. And lots of teams in the 3:20s as well - has the course changed since last year?

Not that I can recall. There have been little nips and tucks to make it more bike friendly but nothing overly drastic. I guess competition breeds innovation.

I think the Gulf Aston's are sandbagging, too.

i can't believe the Peugeots are only about 3 seconds off of the pre-chicane days

Having tremendous torque sure comes in handy when powering through the chicanes.

An interesting poll conducted by the ACO. Never thought NASCAR would be so popular in France.
