Ok, it was hot there for sure at Watkins Glen!

As a casual IRL fan here is what I want to know
- what happened to Danica to cause her pit lane crash, I watched the whol;e thing happened and was just totally confused?
- who is the driver who went off on turn 1 and was then taken away in the ambulance?
- what on earth happened to that driver because as I watched the spin it seemed totally minor, as I recall the car never even hot the tire barrier?

Dad and I watched this together (9000 miles apart) and were just about dying at the people crashing and spinning under caution. Talk about stupid driving. Danica trying to do ballet with her car in the pits and two collisions under caution that could have easily been avoided were definitely the highlights of the race.

Danica: Cold tires, 650 hp, frustration at being P14

#36 was Enrique Bernoldi one of the ChampCar guys... I watched the race on TV and he did not hit anything except being bumped by another car, far as I could see. Ambulance was precaution I guess because he said "my back hurts". What a wussy

Glad to see that Dixon was big enough to admit he screwed up and apologize to Briscoe, who was a good sport enough to accept the apology.

Although anyone who saw the Hornish/Kanaan "battle" last year was probably hoping for more There were ALOT of Nascar fans in the stands

Nascar people would LOVE to see Paul Tracy. If Dixon had taken out PT, Tracy WOULD have got out of his car and belted Dixon in the head

Heard rumors they are trying to get PT a ride for at least 2 races but need sponsor money. I can't believe no one will fork over a million bux to see Paul race again, he is ALWAYS entertaining

More NON ovals coming up in the schedule, should be an interesting final few races.

Anyone see that pass Castroneves did last night on Kanaan and one other guy (forget who it was)? Pretty ballsy but definitely a great pass.

Yup, saw it this morning actually. Damn Ganassi screws up and STILL wins the race

Was going to start the "semi official bashing" thread about Marco -- but then he had to go and admit "it was driver error" - amazing it only took him a few years to learn to take responsibility for screwups whereas it took his dad a couple decades

Man of man did dad look PISSED!!! Somebody got a spanking after he got cleared from medical

I like the irl on road courses but I'm having a hard time keeping interest on the ovals, especailly tracks like nashville. That track is more like one continuous left turn. There is no lifting, no braking, no shifting. what's the driving skill there, it's more like a video game than racing.
Having said that, I'm looking forward to next week - mid-ohio!
