can anybody tell me why Master Button seems to be struggling so badly as Rubens excels?
JB cannot adapt his driving style to differing conditions - RB can adapt better.

i don't know guys...i'm a Jenson fan, but the way he's been going, i'm starting to think he's going to piss away his lead and possibly loose the title at the last minute.
I'm optimistic that JB will perform better and possibly win in warmer conditions. He is still my favorite for winning the WDC and Brawn for WCC.

^^ The remaining races will likely play out in warm to hot conditions. This should play into JB's hands if and only if his driving style is not letting him generate enough heat in the tires to set a fast time.

15 2009 FORMULA 1 FUJI TELEVISION JAPANESE GRAND PRIX (Suzuka) 02 - 04 Oct

Italy might be cool.
Singapore is a night race, so thats cool.
And Japan is probably going to be cool.

Oh and KERS is expected to be a big advantage at Monza, so not good for BGPs - but we will see...

^^ very true about the weather cooling down in the middle & far east. While the atmospheric temp may be higher, the surface temp could be cooler thereby possibly negating JB's bid.

That said he has a greater chance at the races away from the continent.

if he can pull himself together...

RB has been more consistant, and as mentioned before he can adapt better. Experience comes with age

JB has a lot of experience too considering how long he has been in F1 (albeit not as much as Rubinho). I think its his driving style as also his lack of experience as a frontrunner, and the seeimngly unending queries from the press that have put a cloud on his head.

He needs to adjust his mental makeup and psyche himself to just go out and enjoy the race and not give a damn about the result. If and when he does that I believe he will rediscover his mojo.

Pressure mounts on stuttering Jenson Button as Red Bull move to close gap

Excerpt: Button knows there can be no room for frustration, adding: "I've just got to get my head down and work with the team to solve our issues and work on the set-up for Monza. We've already discussed what we're going to do there, so I'm looking forward to it. I'm positive and excited about the challenge of the next few races. I'm not frustrated or negative."

Button is fully expecting the McLarens and Ferraris to dominate at Monza given the power boost provided by the Kers energy retention system, leaving the rest to fight for the scraps, which would again play into his hands.

"I don't think the Red Bulls will be the main rivals on a circuit that should suit us," said Button. "It's going to be more the McLarens, and Force India because they are good on low downforce.
