Speed World Challenge
Its Speed WC. Each Manufacturer gets more or less mods to make their cars competitive. For eg, BMW's HP is restricted due to V6 vs. Acura's inline 4. Mazda 6 is highly modified to be competitive. SCCA fine tunes the rules every year to keep it close. For eg, look at the Dodge Viper or the CTS. Both were dominating when they first came out, however, the rule changes over the next year made these cars as equal as possible to the C5's and 911's.
In the end, its just a big show.

Each car has weight added or reduced based on their performance in the previous race.

There's a limit, however, as a habitual 12th-place finisher can't continually remove weight, so again, Coalwell uses his discretion."
