[QUOTE=chrisaltima;24645571]I have been a sucker for Volk Racing RE30s for years. I recently saw a gently used set come up on the boards and made a move on a deal I could not pass up. With that being said, I have decided to part ways with the Wedsports that I actually started really liking on the car. These RE30s are the Evasive Motorsports Edition Clubsports in 17x9.5+40. I believe these were released in 2014. They will be wrapped in 255/40 Dunlop Z3s. Sorry for the dark night shots, on to the photos:
Man! So sick and a great spec! Going to look perfect.
I love the RE30. I would have definitely jumped on another set if they were still available when I bought my CE28s (Had them on my first S2000 10 years ago and loved them).

Here is sneak peak of the fitment. Due to timing, I was unable to get any real good shots on the ground but should have some shortly. I can say I am extremely happy. It's amazing what 2mm does in such a tight game (vs. the +38 RPF1s). I think the +40 is the absolute widest you can run under the rear quarter with -3.0 camber and no real pulling, only a cut quarter.
Going from the +45 to the +40 I believe the ultimate fit for a guy like me would be a +42 but unfortunately those are long gone. Still debating on whether or not I am going to remove the 3 red lip strikes....
The Z3s are a real piece of meat. Loving what Dunlop did with these. Now to try to get a few cruises in before it's get too cold to test the grip out.

Here are some photos from this weekend. Did some cruising to test everything out. So far, I can tell the Dunlops are going to be great. Real sticky, excellent commanding steering feel. They really dig into the pavement. It was around 78 yesterday, really felt good. As far as the wheels are concerned I am having very very minor rubbing issues on the driver side rear only on real bad dips. As far as driving side to side even leaning all the way there is no rub. I think I need to further shave the bumper and tab down. I may attempt to push out the rear with a roller around 2-3 mm, it's really very very minor what I need but it would be good to have a drop more clearance which would give zero rubbing at all times. On to the photos:
I know, the car needs a detail so badly.

Thanks man! Hoping to be able into the garage in the next few days and remove the red stickers on the lips. Also, just picked up a fresh set of gunmetal Rays valve stem caps (the previous owner could not find the caps).

This weekend I deleted the red stripe decals on the lips of the wheels. Much happier with them now. More than likely, I will be PC'ing the wheels over the winter. Still debating on exactly what tone of black but I think the car looked the meanest with the black on black. On to the photos:
