Got the transmission out. Major step in changing the clutch. I have 1/2" 12 point sockets that are too fat to get the pressure plate off so I needed to order a 3/8" socket from Amazon.
The clutch fork is super "rattly" and the release bearing is done. No evidence of this ever being greased properly. Surprisingly the release bearing guide was not that bad but going to replace it anyway.

Clutch is all done. I have been driving it for a couple of months now. No leaks, super smooth and all seems good. In the process I replaced the engine mounts, a lot of rusted hardware, engine main seal, thermostat, water pump, guide pulley bearings, drive shat bolts with the hardened LHT bolts. And some other things I can't remember. I highly recommend replacing the thermostat when you have the engine mount off. Access is very easy when the mount is off.
Naturally I replaced the release bearing slide, release bearing, clutch disk, pressure plate and had the flywheel machined.
I had the battery out. When I had it out I noticed rust on the battery tray.
Got that cleaned up and treated so it will not rust again.
The only thing I for got to connect after all this was a vacuum line on a solenoid on the air cleaner box. So I got a check engine light with code P0411
I was checking the hoses and snapped the nipple off the vacuum tank. So I needed to replace the tank. I replaced all the lines and the valve because that plastic was getting brittle. All is good now.
I am enjoying driving the car in summer again. No more projects until the fall/winter.

We are getting close to the end of summer sadly and starting to think about winter projects. The project for this winter is to refresh the suspension. I can feel that 20+ years has taken its toll. I am trying to keep everything as stock as possible. But I found the 20th Anniversary suspension kit and could not resist. In my mind its OEM+.
Nice, I'm getting back to my refresh as well. I had some issues with the battery, it was only a year old, but I opted to get the OEM one from Honda instead. Just put it in today.
I also got some AP2V1 wheels, I will hopefully get tires and install them next week.
Looking forward to seeing more of your refresh this year. I need to copy your valve cover refresh to keep the engine bay looking clean.
