Thats just the internet as whole. You cant post anything personal online anymore without being ready to defend your thought process or opinion til death.

I'm positive all the "negativity and hate" is coming from a place that's a bit deep than what you guys think, but this really isn't the place to go into it.

It's subsided for now so lets stop bringing it up.

How much are dealers marking up Porsche Cayman GT4's for? Generally speaking in SoCal that is.
$10k to $20k
That's insane. That's the equivalent of handing the dealership the keys to your late model S2000 for permission to buy a car from them at full retail.

991 RS markups are over 100k!
[/quote]

Dealers are getting away with that because there are those willing to pay that. It's poor practice... Porsche should really stop dealers from doing it.

Its crazy what dealers are doing. I was at Galpin Ford in Van Nuys the other week checking out the new GT350, in that beautiful Avalanche Gray color they got. The sticker price was $57k, and didnt see any mark up sticker price anywhere on it. I called my wife and told her I was going to trade in her car for it (because there aint no way I'm letting my CR go), and start talking to a salesman, and he said there was a 50% markup pricing it at $110k. At first I was thinking, isn't that a 100% markup when you almost double the price? Then I told the salesmen that I was just kidding about buying the car. Walked away thinking how stupid it is to markup any Mustang to a $110k price tag. I wanted to call Ford and ask them why are they letting dealers markup a $48k car to over $100k, but then I remembered I have my CR waiting for me at home and forgot about the GT350.

Anyway, I'm excited for you with the new Porsche, congrats! I want to take a run with you after I get my blower sorted out.

Did you already sell the CR?

Oh, and as for the hate, you know you're doing it right when you got haters following you around. The banter is very entertaining. Keep up the good work Allen!

I have stripped the CR of all it's parts and will be moving over what i can to the AP1. CR is back to stock.

I have 3 interested buyers for the CR. Hopefully i can have her sold in the next week or two.

Hope all is well with you man... Havent see you since Fuch's back then. Galpin is pretty shady when it comes to mark ups... i suspect that the mark up will subside in the next year or so after the hype dies down.
