Looks great man! I prefer the look of the more aggressive concave CE28's but I gotta say your car still looks great with the more conservative specs and RE11's.

I myself just picked up a '08 LBP a couple weeks ago and want an Amuse r1, but was thinking I would have to save for an authentic one for quality fitment. The shyne looks promising here though!

First, let’s get something straight here... It’s more clean and mint than most S’s because its 2009!!! I’m not sure what you all mean by saying its clean every other post but that’s what I presume, literally and figuratively. The S is already a clean car, STOCK! Don’t get me wrong, OP’s car is clean. Oops I never liked the silver S’s till this one came around. Loving the Bronze CE’s on Chicane.

What they say about Spider-Man holds true for the S. With great power (sorta, kinda, not really), comes great responsibility. Glad OP is fine from accident. Accidents are never good, mentally, emotionally, financially, and physically. Lessen learned but being 40d isn’t a plausible cause. I bet money the OP was misbehaving Seventeen, c’mon... we all did it The ground is still probably warm from the sunny 90d degree day ... c’mon, really, really :exitright: Enjoy having her back!
Thank god you're here to know everything.

1. His car is way way way more tastefully modded than a lot of the peasant ricer crap on this forum. Clean is putting lightly how well done this car is.

2. It does get cold in California too.

3. On cold tires / cold night, it's a completely different car. When you get used to warm California road grip, a cold night means a spin for the less experienced. I spun on a cold night when I first got the car. I was lucky enough to miss the curb.

Glad you got your car back man. I'm in Mission Viejo, let's cruise some time!

So you're saying that my car is a peasant ricer car? Honestly, I feel for the OP, i wrecked many a car in HS (three to be exact, all because I WAS misbehaving).

I'm a big proponent of learning to drive the car before modding it, but then again, I bought the car to track it and take it to the mountains, not to take it to shows or for the approval of other people, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

You're really lucky kid. Born into a great family, very privaliged. Just don't forgot that. Most people on this forum weren't nearly as fortunate. Hell, that F40 is worth more than all the major assets my family owns, haha.

I love to see brand new cars modded, but I hate to see them wrecked. It's just the normal "young spoiled kid" image that most people have of you that there is hatred. If you were a 50 year old man saying that you had saved up for 10 years for the car, I guarantee you there would be a much different response.

Keep up the good work, car looks great. Try and take it to the track sometime to see what she'll really do!

I find this comment funny because a few years ago my specs would have been considered too aggressive to fit the S2000 . If you have the means save for an authentic, the only reason I went the replica route is because the insurance was willing to pay for it instead of a stock bumper.

Thanks for the comments everyone else. I'd love to get to a track, but I'd only do it using somebody else's car

[QUOTE=Bloodred,Nov 27 2010, 12:30 AM] I'm trying not to sound like a dick, but...

To summarize this situation:
- you appear to be about 17-18 (assuming that's you in the pic)
- parents bought you a brand new $30k sports car for "good grades"
- additional ~$8k in top-of-the-line mods added
- you have years of experience in kart racing (I'm guessing funded by parents as well)
- your dad drives an F40. holy shit.
- you also appear to have a very nice camera
- your location is Laguna Niguel. I'm guessing you live in Bear Brand? I know the area well, most of the houses out there are gigantic mansions.
- I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say your parents are paying for your accident repairs/insurance as well. And your "consolation" amuse bumper.

Again, not trying to be a dick, but I hope you are fully aware of how insanely fortunate you are.

Meanwhile, I had to work as a janitor for 3 years to afford my S2000.

Who cares if the kid didn't buy the car on his own? considering his dad has a F40, buying his son a S2000 is almost nothing. I see plenty high school girls in their brand new 6series ($80k+??) cabrio by me all the time.

Well done dude. Nice car, nicely done!
