Im in the same situation as ya brotha although mine was not brand new it was found as a 2001 with 16k miles!! Everything that is done to the car was done by me and paid by me! But I was fortunate that my dad paid the 12.5 for the car haha!

Out of all the cars, why did your parents choose the s2000? just curious to hear

I've gotten straight A's in my senior year to make up for my freshmen through junior grades. My parents gave me a lovely pat on the back haha

Yeah as time passes and more and more people become interested in one up'ing the last guy with wider/lower offset wheels, what's "aggressive" is always changing. I guess what I was trying to say is, before buying my s2000 I would have overlooked your car on paper, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across your thread. It probably doesn't help that I run a site that features a lot of cars focused on stance though, haha.

I chose the S2000, they were willing to get it for me because they wanted me in a new car, it was my dream car (seriously, there's nothing I'd rather have as a first car), and it was going out of production.

Clean ride man, really tasteful mods. Probably one of my favorite S2ks I've seen on this forum.

How's the drivability with the ACT flywheel? Is everything else stock besides the flywheel? I've read you need to rev the engine a lot higher when starting from a stop, especially on a hill. I'm interested in getting a lighter flywheel, but don't know if it'll be worth it since I DD my s2k.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment

Honestly the ACT made the car no harder to drive for me, I was expecting it to make the car very hard to start from a stop but it doesn't. I can still pull away at idle speed from stop lights very easily if I pay attention and hills aren't a problem slipping the clutch at maybe 1300 rpm instead of idle. What actually took some getting used to was how fast the revs drop when you push in the clutch, which means that you'll have to "blip" the throttle a bit between each gear if you don't shift fast enough. This has become second nature to me now though, and the flywheel really made the car about 100% more enjoyable for sport driving and downshift rev matching. Mine is a DD too btw, and this is my first manual car (well my first car overall actually ).

god, i read through the comments.
Some of you people still after 6 pages of comments, the OP being very modest, his dad getting on the forums to say Hi to everyone, and share a little background info.. you still have to have the last say about him not paying for the repair or who paid for his modifications.. honestly, now days us kids (being that i just turned 19 myself) are into dugs and drinking. At least here in PNW area.. but to have a teenage kid that is willing to work hard and just stay in school, let alone get awesome grades.. c'mon.

OP. This thread is dope, you and your dad remind me of my father and I, so sick to see him post on the thread haha take it easy man.
