GPW ASM S2000
#42
I remember seeing this car's feature back in the day and loved the Spoon front end but the ASM is down right badass. I'm glad you finally made a build to show what all has really gone into this car. I love your entire set up and the fact that you're always posting cool track pictures, especially of that one with you baja'ing lol. As far as the brake pads go, I run XP10 and XP8 and they are amazing pads partnered with the Spoon calipers. They also don't wear as bad as I thought they would either, and this is on a track that requires a lot of heavy braking. Anyways

Friday was time to install a few things.
Cutting and shaping the carbon sheets for the front bumper end plates.
Installing the RX7 Sides
Installing the Diffuser.
This is Loi Hua of LoiSpec Garage doing some grinding and shaping of the end plates. The Carbon used is very thick
which made them perfect for taking a beating from the amount of pressure.
Giving them the final ok, before the drilling.
Fitted and installed. Even gave it the "shake the hell out of it" test. Its going to hold
*** The washers used are temp, as i find them to be a bit tacky*** Waiting for my other washers to come in
When i came around to finishing up the sides, it started raining. Then at the point of f@#k it... We decided to finish the diffuser install in the rain.
It was not fun, as Loi and FutureITR helped fab custom brackets to make it a chassis mount piece... Soaked head to toe, it was finished and put on. This is when you know you have great friends.. who ask for nothing but to help you in taunting conditions.
Some quick snaps i took when settled into Autocon the next morning.
Ill post pics as they surface, but i am now focusing on I Honda in May, and back to Buttonwillow in June. So in this "Downtime" I will be changing suspension and time for new tires.
Here is pretty cool video from Autocon this past weekend.
