Have you looked into the drilled baffle solution? Seems to be working for quite a few people that are having some of the same problems.

Excellent driving, I love how your videos are setup. Hopefully you can find a solution to your oil issue.

This seems to be the common successful solution for the blow by issue: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/769...#entry20201135

Mac also later determined that he thinks the reasons some car have this behavior and some do not is due to how the baffle was sealed against the valve cover at the factory. Some valve cover baffles are "better sealed" than others which prevents oil from draining down as quickly and then causes the issue. Some had slightly less sealant in certain areas so they don't have the issue.

If I can find the specific thread where this was discussed I will post it up. But drilling the holes in the baffle seems to be an effective solution for most with or without a catch can. Just a bit of a tricky process I think to get all of the drilled material back out.

Here it is: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/109...t__p__23347538

"I think the reason why some cars have issues and others don't is because of the way the baffle was sealed on the valve cover. Some baffles must have been sealed poorly so the oil is allowed to drain back down where some were sealed realy well so it collects and gets sucked into the intake.
My 06 had no issues whereas my 07 was horrible, my PCV routed like stock except I have a catch can for mist oil. I only catch at most an ounce of oil for roughly 8 or so twenty minute sessions. Originally I drilled my baffle to allow oil to drain but after thinking about it it has to be the way the baffle was sealed.
It would be nice to get a known valve cover that had issues and remove some of the sealant in key areas to try it out but I'm 99.9% sure this will work. Some people that drilled their own baffles had issues but all the ones I drilled didn't have anymore issues with blow by. "

I would seriously look into this. My car is due for a valve adjustment soon so I can maybe take a look at the cover, or maybe we can plan to do a valve adjustment at the same time and compare how the baffles are sealed? Maybe possible to just remove some of the sealant in the right place and not have to worry about drilling anything.

I can say with almost 100% certainty that I have never had this issue with my car. Never seen it out the back of my car, I know what it looks like because I have seen other cars doing it, and no one has ever seen my car exhibit the behavior. Something common with my friends car with the oil blow by is the car sort of bogging down when it happens because the engine is ingesting that oil, and I have never experienced that either.

Yea would be nice to compare if possible. It's very bad in my car now. I filled almost a whole bottle of engine oil from draining my catch can throughout the day. Just crazy.

I did the VC mod a few weeks ago and it wasn't horrible, but definitely tedious. I didn't remove the baffle just did it according to this post: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/113...t__p__23936135

I haven't done enough track days to give a thorough review but I'm sure it helps. The stickier rubber of RE71R's I'm sure don't help with filling the catch can either..

Just read this from start to finish - if this isn't to show car standard, I look forward to seeing you do a show car build .

The attention to detail is a joy to behold .
