Glad to see the car back together again, Mark. Can't wait to see photos of this thing at COTA!

Because it's practically undrivable on the street. The street bumper is already really low. I think this bumper might be lower than my gt4 and my s2k isn't even low. I'm also just experimenting with aero now so there's no point in going crazy without knowing what I am doing in the first place.

Sad because I didn't even get to drive the car yet and it's already cracked, but also had a feeling this would happen eventually and I'm learning from my mistakes. I'm still going to clear bra the bumper and hopefully it doesn't get any worse. If you are thinking about an aftermarket bumper and worry about the strength of FRP, DON'T DO IT. I should have went with my gut feeling on this.

But I'm still excited that my car is finally coming back together and I'll soon get to drive it again.
Are there different grades of FRP (i.e. Amuse R1)? Or is it all the same? Does paint prep play into this?

I've been practicing COTA in iRacing to learn the track. It seems fun except for the longs straights (especially in an S2K).

I'm sure there's different levels of quality in general, but fiber glass doesn't flex much so it is fragile regardless.

Swapping door internal parts has been an interesting experience. I got most of everything in place now, but I still have to adjust the locking mechanism and then install the window and make adjustments to that. I've learned so much about working on cars with the S2K. My confidence in wrenching has gone up so much since this car is so accessible and simple.

Yeah, fiberglass parts suck ass. Youll always have to spend money on them
