What'd you do to make the NSX-R shift boot work? (If you don't mind sharing)

make sure the holes you make are very close to the edge because you are working with less material than a normal sized shift boot for the s2000. you still need slack for the boot to move when you shift. i gave myself a 2 hole distance from the outter edge of the material. since the boot is a mesh type fabric its easy to line up the existing holes with the plastic stubs in the shift boot ring.
the tool i used to enlarge the existing mesh holes in the nsx boot was the sharp coil end of a wine bottle cork remover. its perfect for the job since its sharp enough to pierce the mesh. the sharp point at the end tapers from small to large so it enlarges the hole gradually without ripping the material on the boot.

when you purchase the nsx boot it comes stapled to its own shifter ring. you have to just remove the staples and gently pry the boot off the ring.
